Daily Supervisor Training Drop-ins

Sunday 10th August 2025 11:00

Interested in bringing your child in for a climb but not sure where to start? Join us for a drop in Junior Supervisor Training Course, running daily this summer.

We welcome young climbers at Gallery Bouldering, but we require dedicated and competent supervision at all times – climbing is an extreme sport and comes with the risk of serious injury both to the under 18s under supervision, and to other climbers.

If you’re interested in bringing your child to climb but have little or no experience of climbing centres, you’ll need to join us for a Junior Supervisor Course. This course runs daily during the summer holidays.

During the course a dedicated member of staff will walk you round the centre and help you to understand how to supervise safely, and what the risks of unsafe supervision might be. At the end of the course you will take the Junior Supervisor Assessment. An adult who has successfully completed the course and the assessment can supervise up to two junior climbers aged 8 and above at the same time. All children aged under 8 need to be supervised at a ratio of one adult to one child.

There’s no need to book your place on the course, but you must register with us and complete our online waiver before you arrive for the session. We look forward to seeing you!

When: Daily at 11:00am from Wednesday 23rd July – Sunday 31st August

Duration: 30 minutes

Price: £10 per adult

Additional info: We ask that you do not bring your children with you to this course, unless they are old enough to look after themselves for the 30 minutes, in the cafe. We need participants to be able to focus on the course content.
